About me.

Since 2010, I’ve helped people overcome emotional blocks and trauma. My personal and professional experience allows me to guide you towards greater clarity and inner peace.

My Story

I started working as a counsellor in 2010 and moved to London after completing my Master’s Degree in 2016. While completing my Masters degree, I took a huge interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The way it teaches the power of being connected to our values for mental health and learning ways to have a more neutral and accepting relationship of one’s thoughts and emotions was to me really significant. I integrated this as much into my practice as I could going forward, but it was not until I became a client myself and really applied the principles into my own life where I truly got its power for true well-being.

I experienced a great deal of anxiety after moving to London and struggled a great deal within myself. Even though I was and am a counsellor, I really struggled to see how my constant fixation on making “the problem” go away was making me suffer more, my life became really small and I developed OCD. I was proactive and did all the things one could do to manage the problem and make it go away, but it just became another obsession, and I doubted everything I did.

After the birth of my daughter, my mental health took another dive and I knew I needed to have a different approach this time. I needed to start practicing what I had been preaching with clients – Acceptance, Self compassion, and becoming more honest around where I was avoiding things and leaning on my safety behaviours.

My story, as well as from what I have witnessed with clients over the years, has informed my work today greatly. I still provide and value processing work, but I now blend in more psycho education and support around managing difficult thought patterns, tolerating difficult emotions, getting clear about what the root of the problem is and helping clients get clear about what it is in their life they are wanting.

I am here to help you, wherever you are in your journey.
